The Easter event “The Royal Villa with Giant Easter Eggs” will take place from April 3 to April 6, 2026!
For the Easter weekend, just outside Lucca, the Villa Reale will host for four consecutive days, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Giant Eggs decorated by young talents from the Academies of Fine Arts of Rome and Florence, together with a new edition of the Treasure Hunt, an initiative developed by Villa Reale that celebrates its 10th anniversary this year!
Days to be enjoyed outdoors among nature and fun, exploring the 16 hectares of parkland and its precious botanical heritage: a new route to follow on the map in search of hidden clues throughout the garden, looking for the character eggs that are the protagonists of the new story. All efforts will be rewarded by a treasure chest full of prizes, and along the route it will also be possible to admire the Giant Eggs decorated especially for the occasion.
The Giant Eggs are works of art decorated by young talents from the Academies of Fine Arts of Rome and Florence, as well as by renowned Tuscan artists, based on sketches selected by Fabrizio Galli, a celebrated artist and float designer of the Viareggio Carnival, in collaboration with the artist Maupal as project coordinator. The Giant Eggs will be exhibited for the first time in Italy right here at Villa Reale, where they have found the perfect home in one of the most beautiful gardens in Europe.
